Boss rubs 21 masseuses the wrong way, now they want justice

KUALA LUMPUR: Twenty-one Thai masseuses claim that their employer has cheated them, but he denies it. Instead he has accused the women of stealing items from his massage centres.

The masseuses had sought the help of the Thai Embassy here after their services were terminated without compensation.

The employer, Yau Hoon Meng, claimed that some of the women had run away after stealing things from his centres in Shah Alam and Puchong.

Kannika Nakkrasae, 25, said their problems began when they went to see Yau’s wife in July to complain about unpaid salaries.

“Instead she got angry and terminated our services and asked us to leave our rooms,” said Kannika.

The women, aged between 25 and 45, had worked with Yau for almost four years.

Embassy labour affairs counsellor Pangmas Uuichiensin said the mission would act as mediator in the tussle and should that fail, the case would be referred to the relevant authority. - The Star online.
